{"id":9139,"date":"2021-05-03T07:00:54","date_gmt":"2021-05-03T05:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sequanamedical.com\/?p=9139\/"},"modified":"2022-07-07T12:00:10","modified_gmt":"2022-07-07T10:00:10","slug":"sequana-medical-kondigt-nieuw-bedrag-van-kapitaal-en-nieuw-aantal-aandelen-aan-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sequanamedical.com\/nl\/persberichten\/sequana-medical-kondigt-nieuw-bedrag-van-kapitaal-en-nieuw-aantal-aandelen-aan-3\/","title":{"rendered":"SEQUANA MEDICAL KONDIGT NIEUW BEDRAG VAN KAPITAAL EN NIEUW AANTAL AANDELEN AAN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PERSBERICHT <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>GEREGLEMENTEERDE INFORMATIE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>3 mei 2021, 07:00 CEST<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gent, Belgi\u00eb, 3 mei 2021 <\/strong>\u2013<strong> Sequana Medical NV (Euronext Brussels: SEQUA) <\/strong>(de &#8220;<strong>Vennootschap<\/strong>&#8221; of &#8220;<strong>Sequana Medical<\/strong>&#8220;), een vernieuwer in de behandeling van diuretica-resistente vochtoverbelasting in leveraandoeningen, maligne ascites en hartfalen, kondigt, overeenkomstig artikel 15 van de Belgische Wet van 2 mei 2007 op de openbaarmaking van belangrijke deelnemingen in emittenten waarvan aandelen zijn toegelaten tot de verhandeling op een gereglementeerde markt en houdende diverse bepalingen, aan dat een aantal houders van aandelenopties (die de vorm hebben van inschrijvingsrechten), een totaal aantal van 10.705 Executive Aandelenopties (zoals hieronder gedefinieerd) en 9.851 2018 Aandelenopties (zoals hieronder gedefinieerd) hebben uitgeoefend.<\/p>\n<p>Als gevolg van deze uitoefening van Executive Aandelenopties en 2018 Aandelenopties, werd op 30 april 2021 het kapitaal van de Vennootschap verhoogd van EUR\u00a01.920.626,45 naar EUR\u00a01.924.846,39 \u00a0en werd het aantal uitgegeven en uitstaande aandelen verhoogd van 18.535.519 naar 18.576.252 gewone aandelen, door uitgifte van 40.733 nieuwe aandelen in totaal.<\/p>\n<p>Het totale huidige aantal uitstaande inschrijvingsrechten bedraagt 1.271.247, dewelke de houders ervan het recht verlenen om (bij uitoefening) in te schrijven op in totaal 1.747.127 nieuwe aandelen met stemrechten, namelijk:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>302.804 nieuwe aandelen kunnen worden uitgegeven bij de uitoefening van \u00e9\u00e9n inschrijvingsrecht dat werd toegekend in 2016 aan Bootstrap Europe S.C.SP. Vochtoverbelasting is een veelvoorkomende complicatie van veel grote ziekten waaronder gevorderde leverziekte veroorzaakt door NASH (niet-alcoholische steatohepatitis)-gerelateerde cirrose en hartfalen, waarbij resistentie voor diuretica wijdverspreid is. De Amerikaanse markt voor de\u00a0<strong>alfa<\/strong>pump als gevolg van NASH-gerelateerde cirrose zal naar verwachting de komende 10-20 jaar meer dan \u20ac3 miljard per jaar bedragen. De markt in hartfalen voor de\u00a0<strong>alfa<\/strong>pump DSR\u00ae wordt geschat op meer dan \u20ac5 miljard per jaar tegen 2026 in de VS en EU5. Beide indicaties maken gebruik van de\u00a0<strong>alfa<\/strong>pump van Sequana Medical, een uniek, volledig ge\u00efmplanteerd draadloos systeem dat automatisch vocht vanuit de buik in de blaas pompt, waar het op natuurlijke wijze wordt verwijderd via urinering.<\/p>\n<p>In de VS, de belangrijkste groeimarkt van de onderneming, heeft de FDA de\u00a0<strong>alfa<\/strong>pump een breakthrough device status verleend voor terugkerende en refractaire ascites als gevolg van levercirrose. De tussentijdse resultaten van de lopende Noord-Amerikaanse pivotale studie (POSEIDON) toonden positieve resultaten voor alle primaire eindpunten van de studie. Deze studie is bedoeld om een toekomstige marketingapplicatie van de\u00a0<strong>alfa<\/strong>pump in de VS en Canada te ondersteunen. In Europa is de\u00a0<strong>alfa<\/strong>pump CE-gemarkeerd voor het behandelen van refractaire ascites als gevolg van levercirrose en maligne ascites en is opgenomen in belangrijke klinische praktijkrichtlijnen. Tot nu toe zijn meer dan 850\u00a0<strong>alfa<\/strong>pump toestellen ge\u00efmplanteerd. Voortbouwend op haar bewezen\u00a0<strong>alfa<\/strong>pump platform, ontwikkelt Sequana Medical de\u00a0<strong>alfa<\/strong>pump DSR, een baanbrekende, gepatenteerde aanpak voor vochtoverbelasting door hartfalen. In de Verenigde Staten en Canada wordt het\u00a0<strong>alfa<\/strong>pump systeem momenteel klinisch onderzocht (POSEIDON-studie) en wordt het bestudeerd bij volwassen pati\u00ebnten met refractaire of terugkerende ascites als gevolg van cirrose. De DSR\u00ae therapie is nog in ontwikkeling en er dient te worden opgemerkt dat eventuele verklaringen met betrekking tot veiligheid en effici\u00ebntie voortkomen uit lopende preklinische en klinische onderzoeken die nog moeten worden afgerond. De DSR-therapie is momenteel niet goedgekeurd voor klinisch onderzoek in de Verenigde Staten of Canada.
